The Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, 1996 makes Ontario’s public sector more open and accountable to taxpayers. The act requires organizations that receive public funding from the Province of Ontario to make public, by March 31 each year, the names, positions, salaries and total taxable benefits of employees paid $100,000 or more in the previous calendar year.

Topping the list for the Ontario Power Generation was President and Chief Executive Officer Jeffrey Lyash, who brought home $1,746,824.96 in 2018.

Following Jeffrey Lyash was Nuclear President and Chief Nuclear Officer Glenn Jager, with annual earnings of $962,749.44. Chief Nuclear Officer Sean Granville made $774,054.83, Senior Vice President Nuclear Projects Dietmar E. Reiner made $766,192.79, and Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President Finance Kenneth Hartwick round out the top-five highest-paid employees with $682,188.06 for the Ontario Power Generation 2019 Sunshine List.
